After the death of President Sanha Guinea-Bissau facing the seventh change of the President within fifteen years.
Since independence, no president could not hold his post to the end of his term. In general, the country is known
for drug trafficking, political assassinations and coups. Interim President Raimundo Pereira will take over the post
till the elections, as he did it after the assassination of former President Vieira in 2009. Presidential elections should
take place on March 18. But the question is whether the government will be able to finance the amount of
$ 4.5 million as financing of elections. Any delay or disruption could destabilize the current very fragile situation.

Nevertheless, the corrupt military and government are expected to prevent any post-election socio-economic change
and restrain the creation of credible institutions.
